Photograph of Pittsburgh taken from the sky off the Point State Park fountain. From this angle, it is framed by the Fort Duquesne and Fort Pitt Bridges. The foundtain is at a point where the Ohio River splits under the two bridges. Behind the fountain is a grassy area (Fort Duquesne> and then the bridges connecting and finally the city skyline. It is a bright and sunny day.

Logistics

Travel to Pittsburgh, PA: We recommend that you arrive on June 23rd (Monday), any time in the afternoon (check-in is 3:00pm). You should plan on leaving on the June 26nd (Thursday), some time in the morning (checkout is 11:00am). The general schedule is that we'll have a social meet-and-greet on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesdayare full workshop days. On Thursday we'll use the morning to clean up and checkout.

Travel to camp house: On your own

Address:
2015 East Carson Street
Pittsburgh, PA 15203

Food: Outside of the "Coolest Thing Made in PA" (Primanti Bros.), there is food all over the South Side Flats.

Rooming Situation: There are 8 bedrooms, so a few campers will double up.

Cost: We work each year to secure funding for the event. However, if we are unable to obtain full support, attendees may need to cover shared expenses (lodging, food, and beverages), which we estimate at ~$800 per person for the full camp. If funding is secured, lodging will be covered, and participants will only need to contribute to food and beverages. In either case, you would need to arrange and pay for your own travel to Pittsburgh.

VGTC will be paying for the house. Depending on the budget other expenses might be covered as well.
